Recommendations to Government

  • Create or retool a national program specifically aimed at boosting productivity and competitiveness within the food and beverage manufacturing industry. This program should prioritize tax incentives and targeted funding to enable companies to adopt new technologies, modernize equipment and processes, and enhance production efficiency.
  • Broaden the federal definition of “innovation” across relevant policies and programs to include not only new technologies but also the practical application of existing technologies in innovative ways, the modernization of aging infrastructure, and expansion of production capacity.
  • Develop financial mechanisms tailored to provide accessible capital for food and beverage manufacturers. In addition to financial support, cultivate a policy environment that promotes productivity, sustainability, and long-term competitiveness across the industry.
