FBC-ABC is committed to creating a thriving and globally competitive food and beverage manufacturing industry in Canada. Through bold leadership, proactive advocacy, and meaningful partnerships, we champion federal policies that strengthen the sector's business environment, resilience , and global reach.

Aligned with our 2025-2027 Strategic Plan, FBC-ABC has identified four key focus areas: Productivity and Competitiveness, Labour, Sustainability and the Environment, and Regulatory Effectiveness.

Our Advocacy in Action:

FBC-ABC conducts regular outreach to the federal government and organizes Advocacy Days, which offer unique opportunities to engage Members of Parliament and Senators. These sessions:

  • build awareness among policymakers of the food and beverage industry's critical contributions to both urban and rural economies,
  • facilitate open dialogue on key federal policies and regulations impacting the industry.

  • Plastics and Packaging Policy Advocacy: Collaborating with Environment and Climate Change Canada to harmonize regulatory standards for plastic food packaging.
  • Labour Advocacy Campaign: Developing solutions to address labour shortages and workforce challenges in collaboration with government and stakeholders
