Members of a national food industry consortium have joined together to launch the FCI-Canada Project, a national, sector-wide platform that will link food and beverage companies across the country by allowing them to post and search for specific products, services and partners within given geographic parameters.

Canada’s leading food and beverage manufacturing associations are building provincial and regional databases that will then be connected into a national network. This platform will offer Canada’s almost 8,000 food and beverage manufacturers a new tool to conveniently identify suppliers and vendors, and assist industry in better responding to pressures on Canada’s national food supply chain. A platform that serves to easily connect each of these players will benefit the industry and help ensure the smooth functioning of Canada’s food system.
